From Turbo Pascal to C#: A Journey Through Code

My love affair with programming began in the computer labs of my secondary school, where I was first introduced to Turbo Pascal. Those were the days of discovery and fascination with the power of code. Fast forward to 2001, the year I embarked on my professional journey, Delphi in hand, crafting software that laid the groundwork for my career.

A move to the UK from Poland in March 2003 marked the beginning of a new chapter. I dived into the realm of VBScript, developing software for financial institutions. But as the tides turn, so did my focus, and soon C# became my language of choice—a constant in my development life for many years now. Along the way, I also spent about five years crafting iOS apps, diving into a different kind of ecosystem.

Not Just a Developer: The Man Behind the Keyboard

When I’m not deciphering the complexities of C#, or delving into iOS app development, you’ll find me harnessing the winds and waves as I learn kitesurfing. It’s been almost a year of thrills, spills, and everything in between. On dry land, I’m a jive enthusiast, always ready for a spin on the dance floor.

Why Blog?

This blog is my channel to share the highs and lows of my programming career, offering insights into the challenges I face and how I navigate them. It’s also a space where I’ll share my kitesurfing journey, hoping that my experiences can guide others along their path.

What’s on the Horizon?

Expect a plethora of programming pearls, from intricate C# discussions to broader software development topics. Alongside the code talk, I’ll share snapshots of my kitesurfing lessons—each post a new adventure.

While I currently prefer to share information, who knows what the future holds? For now, I’m content to cast my thoughts into the blogosphere, two (maybe three) posts a month.
